Nutcracker FAQ

  • What are the Port Theatre dates?
    • Dress rehearsals will be Nov 25 & 26. Select cast may need to come on Nov 22-24.
    • Show dates will be Nov 25 (2 school shows + 1 evening show) & 26 (matinee + evening show)
  • When will rehearsals take place?
    • The majority of rehearsals will take place on Sunday mornings (Sept-Nov), Saturday afternoons as well as Sept 6-11
    • Some senior roles may be rehearsed Saturday evenings
    • Mandatory dress rehearsals rehearsals will take place Nov 13 and Nov 20.
  • Participation requirements:
    • Participate in audition (in studio or video).
    • Production fee due August 1.
      • Anyone who has not paid by August 1 will be removed from the cast list without notification.
      • No refunds after cast list is sent
    • Attend all rehearsals Sep-Nov
    • Parents must take an active volunteer role (approx 5 hours per dancer)
  • Cast list
    • The cast list is chosen by the Kirkwood Faculty and all decisions are final
    • Production fee must be paid prior to release of cast list or dancer will be removed from production
    • No refunds after August 5, 2022
