Kirkwood Academy of Performing Arts, aims to provide the highest quality dance instruction to children and young adults in a diverse, nurturing environment. We believe that the arts enrich the life of the student and family by building self esteem, lasting friendships and life skills. Our students are encouraged to become technically proficient and at the same time build self esteem, cooperation and leadership skills.

Programs

There’s a place for everyone to dance at Kirkwood!

From little ones taking their very first class to experienced dancers and adults looking to get back into the studio, we offer classes for ages 3 and up at all levels of experience.

Ballet provides fundamental training and is an important part of many of our dancers’ training, but you don’t have to take ballet to dance at Kirkwood. Classes may also include modern, tap, jazz, lyrical, acro, pointe, PBT, contemporary, variety, and musical theatre.

We also offer adult classes for a range of levels, with options for both new and experienced dancers, as well as diverse ability classes designed to make dance accessible and welcoming to more dancers.
