Kirkwood Academy of Performing Arts, aims to provide the highest quality dance instruction to children and young adults in a diverse, nurturing environment. We believe that the arts enrich the life of the student and family by building self esteem, lasting friendships and life skills. Our students are encouraged to become technically proficient and at the same time build self esteem, cooperation and leadership skills.

Dance Studio Manager

Registration prerequisites:

Ballet 
Inter-Foundation (both exam and non-exam) students must take 2 Kirkwood ballet classes plus available Kirkwood pointe/pre-pointe class for level.  KAPP students will not attend IF choreography class.
Intermediate  (both exam and non-exam) students must take 2 Kirkwood ballet classes plus available Kirkwood pointe class/classes for level.  Exam students must also take 1 Kirkwood ballet tech class.
Advanced Foundation exam students must take 2 Kirkwood ballet classes, 2 Kirkwood pointe classes and 1 optional Kirkwood ballet tech class.
Advanced Foundation non-exam students must take 1 Kirkwood ballet class, 1 Kirkwood pointe class for level and 1 optional Kirkwood ballet tech class.
Advanced 1 exam students must take 2 Kirkwood ballet/pointe classes and 1 Kirkwood ballet tech class.  New in 2018-19, ballet/pointe is a combined class and will only be available to those en pointe.
Advanced 1 non-exam students must take 2 Kirkwood ballet/pointe classes and optional Kirkwood ballet tech class.  New in 2018-19, ballet/pointe is a combined class and will only be available to those en pointe.
Advanced 2 exam students must take 2 Kirkwood ballet/pointe classes and 1 Kirkwood ballet tech class.  New in 2018-19, ballet/pointe is a combined class and will only be available to those en pointe.
Advanced 2 non-exam students must take 2 Kirkwood ballet/pointe classes and optional Kirkwood ballet tech class.  New in 2018-19, ballet/pointe is a combined class and will only be available to those en pointe.

Modern/Contemporary
Students must be enrolled in a Kirkwood modern class in order to be eligible for registration in a contemporary class.

Jazz/Hiphop/Jazz Fusion
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of one Kirkwood ballet class in order to be eligible for registration in jazz, hiphop tech or jazz fusion class.

Please note that classes taken outside of Kirkwood do not count towards eligibility requirements.

Registered or Returning Students

The 2018-2019 dance season for Kirkwood will start:

* the week of September 10 for all classes
